• For all ready-made goods, shipping is calculated at checkout.

For any bespoke orders, I will charge according to weight and size upon completion.

  • No refunds, unless there is some horrible mix-up or unplanned accident.

If you have an issue with an order, please contact me.

  • The name is a reference to that old saying “think outside the box” or “let’s throw out the book”.

It means doing things in an unconventional way, which I prefer, actually.

I am also too lazy to register a new domain.

  • If it is a ready made item, then it ships on the following business day.

If it is a custom order, it will be shipped the moment work is completed, typically within 4-8 weeks.

  • Bespoke work requires development of a custom pattern from scratch and sourcing specific materials for each project.

This sourcing + design process can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks.

To sustain myself and afford the materials, the initial deposit covers the initial material cost and my time for design and sourcing.

The deposit is typically 50% of the total cost, but this varies between projects.

  • Leather is sustainable in many ways. It is a by-product of the food industry, and it is bio-degradable. The process of vegetable tanning is centuries old and derives it tanning compounds from natural sources like tree bark and plant-compounds. There are strict environmental protocols for producing leather, and no animals are farmed only for their hide.

I source my solid brass hardware through Buckleguy, a family owned and fully vertically-integrated producer whose factory is based in China and operated from the USA. Their quality and commitment to sustainability is unmatched and their low-lead brass hardware will likely outlive the leather.

The majority of my leathers come from the reputable suppliers in Southeast Asia that have direct relationships with the tanneries in Europe or elsewhere. AL Leather in Singapore and 3Q Leather in Hanoi are my current favourite suppliers.

I do not buy black market exotic materials. Everything is sourced from fully traceable, reputable producers that follow strict environmental guidelines and are well established in the industry.

  • I ship internationally, and the products will be insured.

Everything is made in Da Lat, Vietnam, and I do not have any local distributors (for now).

If you have concerns about a fraudulent scam using the brand’s identity, please report it to me.

  • No. I no longer offer this service.

In light of research and a change in personal philosophy, I believe that designers should be recognized for their product designs, and refuse to copy their work. I will offer to make something that is 80% similar at best, but I will not be happy about it, and you probably won’t be either.

If you would like a custom design made for you, please visit the Bespoke page.

  • I would recommend reading some existentialist philosophy.

Or if you would like to know why you do not know what you don’t know, Plato is a good place to start.
